ALEXANDER VON SCHLIPPENBACH – The Living Music

Born 1938 in Berlin, Studies of composition at 'Staatliche Hochschule für Musik' in Colognewith Rudolph Petzeldt and B.A. Zimmermann. Since 1960 professional jazz-musician in the Quintets of Gunter Hampel and Manfred Schoof. Since 1966 own ensembles like 'The Globe Unity Orchestra', 'Schlippenbach Trio' with Evan Parker and Paul Lovens, Duos with Sven Ake Johansson. Berlin Critic Price 1977, Albrecht-Mangelsdorff-Price 1998, SWR-Jazz Price 2004.
