DÄMMERATTACKE – Tausend Seen

CIEN FUEGOS | CFX003 | LP | 2012
Psychomotoric fit or epilepsy are probably the best synonyms for „DÄMMERATTACKE“! But they are not only attacking your bodily movements, first and foremost they are set on attacking your ears. „Tausend Seen“, originally released in very small amounts in 1982, is now - after 30 years - available again in a remastered edition

Punk rock is skillfully combined with new wave. „Tausend Seen“ can somehow be compared to and has the disturbing yet catching feeling of Joy Division's „Closer“, still, it is an amazing stand-alone piece of music.
Walter Leinweber's melancholic voice adds the perfect portion „anti pop“ to the mix. It all adds up to an extraordinary recording of Austrian (underground) music history, which has long been out of print and very sought after in the international new/cold wave scene.

„Tausend Seen, kannst du sie sehn? Tausend Seen, ich kann nur einen sehn“(literal: „A thousand lakes, can you see them? A thousand lakes, I can only see one.“)
